Choose a documentation version¶
Use the version selector in the header to choose the documentation for your
deployment. The deployment owner supplies the matching binary and image.
Check gdsgate --version before copying installation or administration commands.
| Edition | Use |
|---|---|
0.10.x |
The 0.10 command tree and installation procedures |
0.11.x |
The new command tree, role bootstrap and automatic resource publication |
latest |
The edition selected as the documentation default |
latest selects the 0.11.x release-candidate edition for v0.11.0-rc.7.
Use the matching verified build from your deployment owner. For an existing
0.10 deployment, select 0.10.x. The 0.11 changes describe
the transition and link the new procedures.
Each edition has its own pages, configuration reference, downloads and search index. Switching versions keeps the current page when it exists in the target edition. A page added in a newer edition takes you to the older edition's home. With JavaScript unavailable, the selector opens the chosen edition's home.
Versioned URLs remain explicit: /docs/0.10/ and /docs/0.11/. The root
/docs/ opens latest. Documentation latest is independent of the container
image's :latest release channel. Keep a versioned URL in a deployment record
when its command syntax must remain fixed.
After the 0.x series, editions can cover a major line, such as 1.x or 2.x.
A distinct minor line can have its own edition, such as 2.2.x. The selector
shows the declared editions; it does not merge their instructions.
